Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer

Salary: $145,000 - 165,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field, along with 10 years of relevant engineering experience; an advanced degree may substitute for equivalent experience.
• We look for demonstrated background in one or more relevant areas such as space systems development, systems engineering, structural or thermal analysis, avionics, power systems, propulsion, orbital mechanics, electrical systems, mechanical and fluid systems, software and controls, modeling and simulation, or manufacturing.
• We expect experience creating technical material for proposals and external customer presentations.
• We require experience writing and breaking down mission- and system-level requirements.
• We need a strong understanding of launch, space, and lunar operating environments.
• Preferred qualifications include full end-to-end mission solution knowledge, mission architecture development experience, and familiarity with writing or reviewing automation and analysis scripts.
• Experience with NASA or industry engineering standards is preferred.
• Experience working in an agile environment and using tools such as Confluence and Jira is preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance is preferred.
• Applicants must be eligible to obtain any required U.S. export authorizations.

• We develop and evaluate new concepts and designs for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft.
• We support business development, research and development, and mission opportunity content creation.
• We define the system-level technical direction for new products, aligning customer needs with practical, high-performance solutions across hardware and software.
• We conduct trade studies to inform technical, business, and program decisions.
• We perform power and avionics design and analysis for mission concepts, ensuring the power architecture is appropriately sized to meet end-to-end objectives and requirements.
• We contribute to schedule, staffing, and budget estimates.
• We collaborate with engineering peers, partners, customers, and suppliers to identify and resolve technical risks and issues.
• We occasionally join site visits and technical interchange meetings with customer and partner organizations.
• We translate broad customer needs into actionable product goals and system architectures for customer presentations, proposals, and stakeholder messaging.
• We participate in cross-functional team meetings to ensure engineering solutions align with mission needs, business priorities, and our technology roadmap.
