Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, where you can work in Alexandria, VA. Work Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 9:00am - 5:30pm, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, One Saturday a month 8:00am - 2:30pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments as needed. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency in lieu of work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills – both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
