On-Call Substitute Teachers: Grades TYPK-8

Summary FASPS is accepting applications for on-call substitute teachers at all grade levels. Substitute teachers are responsible for implementing the mission and philosophy of the School. With a flexible schedule, substituting is an excellent way to work with great students and their community, and experience independent school teaching. Please note that this is NOT a contracted, full-time position. This is an on-call position; work is contingent upon the school's needs, and we cannot sponsor visas for this position. Qualifications Applicants should have prior experience working with preschool, elementary, or middle school students, a desire to be part of an internationally diverse community of teachers and learners, and a willingness to adapt to the unique program at FASPS. A Washington State teaching certificate is not required. Required language: English Bilingual skills to include French are a plus. The ability to be employed in the United States and to pass a background check are required. Duties and responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ability to work on an on-call basis Communicating effectively and in a timely manner with team members and administration regarding student concerns Familiarity with procedures for emergency situations Ability to work with an international and culturally diverse student population Acknowledging and planning for the diversity of abilities and learning styles within the classroom Encouraging the growth of the ethical character of students Imparting enthusiasm for learning to students Providing and maintaining a stimulating, safe environment Salary: $25.00/hour To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr National Association of Independent Schools
