We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support core accounting operations for a multi-entity organization. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented finance specialist with a strong foundation in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ideally within a medical or healthcare-related environment. The selected candidate will partner with leadership, help maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen overall accounting performance.

Responsibilities:
• Record and review accounting activity by preparing journal entries and helping drive timely month-end close for multiple entities.
• Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting records, ensuring supporting schedules and documentation remain accurate and up to date.
• Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues to preserve reliable financial reporting.
• Monitor financial data across separate business entities to help ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by compiling financial information, analyzing trends, and highlighting meaningful variances.
• Assist with revenue recognition and other technical accounting areas, including work related to ASC 606 and ASC 842 where applicable.
• Prepare audit-ready support and organized documentation for tax filings, internal controls, and key accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance the efficiency of day-to-day accounting operations.
• Provide additional accounting and financial support to leadership and the broader finance function as business needs evolve.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience with substantial responsibility in core accounting functions.
• Background in medical, healthcare, or closely related industry accounting is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of month-end close, journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations.
• Experience handling accounting for multiple entities, including bank reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition and lease accounting concepts, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and solid proficiency with Microsoft Word are required.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, communication skills, and the capacity to manage priorities independently while collaborating with a team.
