Service AdvisorThe Service Advisor's responsibility is to perform the duties below on a regular basis and meet customer satisfaction standards as well as company service and sales requirements.The position requires the team member to work five days per week and eight hours per day according to the schedule agreed upon with your manager. Marina operating hours range from 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and seasonal schedule changes may take place at management discretion.Duties & Responsibilities:Sell service and maintenance work to customers in person, by telephone, and electronically as best suits the customerSell upgrades and improvements to customersDocument and write customer work orders and enter them in the computerSecure customer approval prior to starting work including method of paymentEstimate mechanical and electrical repair costs when requestedWork with the parts department to ensure that parts are ordered after estimates are approved and monitor lead times to manage shop flow and efficiencyReview, edit, and approve customer billings and warranty billingsWork with mechanics and management to ensure timely completion of workClarify and correct reasonable customer dissatisfactionObtain warranty approval from manufacturer and help process warranty claimsRecommend changes in procedure that will improve service efficiencyComplete and process all paperwork on a timely basis and with accuracyMaintain department accurate company recordsMaintain work area in an organized, clean, and safe conditionAssist in training personnelPromote safety procedures and implement safety requirementsPromote inter-departmental relationsRefer potential Sales leads and potential Storage leads to each departmentMinimum Qualifications and Requirements:Act with the highest level of integrity and maintain a positive attitudeHigh school diploma requiredTwo years of applicable experience requiredWorking knowledge of engines and parts used in the maintenance and repair of enginesMust be able to meet the physical requirements of the jobMust be able to complete assigned work in an efficient and timely mannerStrong work ethic and personal commitmentAbility to work in a team environment to achieve team, department, and company goalsAbility to be a self-starter and work independentlyPhysical Requirements:Lift up to 50 lbsCarry up to 50 lbsWork around waterStand, walk, sit, push, pull, bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach, graspCompany Summary:TopSide Marinas was cofounded in 2020 as a family-owned company that acquires, owns, and operates high-quality marinas across the country.
