Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse‑Anesthetist), Ft Campbell, KY Fort Campbell, KY is a U.S. Army installation located near the Kentucky–Tennessee border. This posting is for an Advanced Practice Nurse specializing in anesthesia services for Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH). Responsibilities Serve as a Nurse Anesthetist for a broad range of surgery, including complex procedures at BACH. Provide anesthesia and related services in accordance with Army and hospital regulatory, licensing, and credentialing policies and AANA Guidelines. Perform on‑call duties for surgical emergencies and 24‑hour obstetrical anesthesia coverage. Provide anesthesia care within scope of practice, including pediatric, ENT, obstetrics, orthopedics, oral maxillofacial surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, and obstetrical analgesia and surgical anesthesia for operative deliveries. Assume full responsibility for all techniques, drugs, and equipment used in anesthesia administration; monitor fluid loss, administer intravenous drugs, review clinical charts, supervise student nurse anesthetists, instruct Physician Assistants/EMTs, and perform administrative duties such as assigning operative cases, maintaining equipment, and attending staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications United States citizenship. Graduate or higher‑level degree from an accredited professional nursing educational program in anesthesia. Current, active, full, unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse in a state, DC, Puerto Rico, or territory; passed the National Council Licensure Examination. An additional license in the specialty of anesthesia or a related specialty is required. Foreign nursing degree requires official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools. One or more full years of professional nursing experience administering anesthetics to patients and monitoring anesthesia care at the GS‑12/GS‑11 level. Education cannot substitute for experience. Exemption for current federal employees occupying the 0610 occupational series and continuously employed since September 27, 2017 or earlier, subject to documentation.
