Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room at a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and acute care facility
• Perform circulator duties throughout surgical procedures
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in the OR setting
• Fulfill on-call requirements of approximately 24–36 hours per month as directed by OR leadership
• Work 2–3 weekend shifts per month as required
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulator experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Non-local applicants only – must reside beyond a 100-mile radius of the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital or children's hospital environment
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers also considered
