What you'll do

• Work directly with clients as part of engagement delivery, applying our diagnostic and organizational design method
• Support the background documentation, systems, and admin work behind client engagements
• Get hands-on in client HCM and payroll platforms (ADP, Paychex, iSolved, Justworks), guiding onboarding, benefits enrollment, and employee data with care
• Help build and maintain internal content: training materials, client-facing resources, social and written content in our voice
• Bring a strategic lens to the bigger organizational questions: leadership structure, workforce planning, and how systems really work day to day
• Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR strategist to develop solutions, programs, policies, and client education
• Flag and route true compliance or legal-risk questions
• Speak directly with client employees to navigate workplace concerns
• Work closely with Sales & Account Manager to effectively onboard new clients
• Attend local business, nonprofit, and community events as a face of ConsciousHR. This is about being present and building relationships, not pitching or selling.

What we're looking for

• Experience inside an organization's leadership or HR function. Internal experience welcome, consulting experience is a bonus, not a requirement
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in all facets of the employee lifecycle; recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, performance and leave management, employee relations, disciplinary action, termination, and offboarding.
• Comfortable researching and staying current on state-level employment law independently
• Comfortable working directly with founders, owners, leadership and executive-level contacts
• Hands-on experience with HCM/payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, iSolved, or Justworks
• Comfort telling the difference between a strategic question and a transactional one, or a genuine eagerness to learn that distinction
• Comfortable and fluent in Google Workspace suite, general web-based platforms, and communication apps.
• Strong written communication and comfort creating content, including on camera
• Comfortable representing ConsciousHR in person, in the community, with warmth and genuine curiosity about people
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage documentation and deadlines independently
• Bachelor's degree preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR a plus, not a requirement

$33 - $36/hr, 30+ hours / week
