Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and learning as a dedicated paraprofessional. This part-time role offers morning shifts from 8am to 12pm, running from June 24th through July 17th. Multiple openings are available, and placements will be matched with your personal experience and preferences, ensuring you’re in a position where you can truly make a difference.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or working with school-aged children is highly desirable
- A caring and patient approach to supporting students with varying educational needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and fellow paraprofessionals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of a school environment
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques is a plus
What You’ll Do:
- Assist teachers in the classroom and provide thoughtful, hands-on support for individual or small groups of students
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development throughout the morning session
- Help create an encouraging and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Implement teacher-directed activities, supporting lesson plans and classroom routines
- Monitor student engagement, assist with assignments, and promote positive behaviors
- Respond flexibly to the needs of the classroom and contribute to an effective team environment
