Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Outpatient Surgery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Requirements: Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable) BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy BLS certification required 1 years of outpatient nursing experience required Strong communication, triage, and patient education skills Duties: Provide nursing care and support to patients in an outpatient clinic, physician office, or ambulatory setting Perform patient intake, assessments, and vital signs prior to provider visits Administer medications, injections, and treatments per physician orders Assist providers with in-office procedures and exams as needed Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and diagnostic testing Manage patient flow to ensure efficient day-to-day operations Respond to patient phone calls/messages regarding symptoms, medications, and care questions Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient communication in the EMR Maintain supplies, equipment, and infection control standards BHS Workforce Job ID 37841743.
