Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Experience Requirements 2-5 years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferred Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools required Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Strong math skills including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry Job Duties Operate, set up, and calibrate NDT equipment for production inspections Inspect welds using microscopes and other quality inspection equipment Perform visual inspections on parts before and after E-coat processes Review weld maps and verify products meet specifications Document non-conformances (NCRs) and communicate findings to production and engineering teams Accurately complete quality reports and inspection records Support continuous quality improvement efforts Perform additional duties as assigned Physical Capabilities Lift up to 30 pounds as needed Stand and walk for most of the shift Bend, crouch, reach, and inspect parts throughout the workday Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, sleeves, pants, and gloves Ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred Qualifications Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred. Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial. Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial. Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Control Inspector.
