Senior Business Analyst

Salary: $93,078 - 112,094 per year Requirements: We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst or Data Analyst with a strong track record of analytics-led decision-making in complex environments. We require solid expertise in business analysis techniques, along with hands-on experience in Agile delivery models and SDLC practices. We need proficiency with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker, including the ability to build compelling dashboards and reports. We value strong technical capability in SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, plus working knowledge of R, Python, VBA, Bash, and Talend ETL tools. We seek experience handling large datasets, including work in Linked Data environments, with advanced analytical skills. We prefer familiarity with database design and architecture principles to support robust data solutions. We expect knowledge of project planning and execution practices, including risk awareness and cross-functional coordination. We require strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for stakeholders at all levels. We are seeking candidates who are comfortable using Visio for workflow documentation and process mapping. We require the ability to relocate to Brooklyn, NY 11231 with an employer-provided relocation package. We are looking for someone able to work onsite in person. Responsibilities: We lead end-to-end business analysis activities, including gathering requirements, setting project scope, and defining key performance indicators. We create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to present insights clearly for different audiences. We work collaboratively in Agile teams to plan, deliver, and support projects aligned with SDLC standards. We design and refine databases using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and sound database design practices to strengthen analytics infrastructure. We perform advanced data analysis using SQL, R, Python, VBA, Bash, Talend, and ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources. We analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, process improvements, and cost-saving opportunities. We support project management efforts by monitoring progress, managing risks, documenting workflows, and coordinating stakeholder communication. We stay informed about best practices and emerging technologies in analytics to continually improve our capabilities. We translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
