Branch Manager, Woodbridge, NJ

Responsibilities Oversee branch performance and daily operations, ensuring excellent customer experience, achieving financial goals, and efficient processes. Lead and coach the team, manage sales activities, deepen customer relationships, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. Create a positive work environment that drives employee engagement and productivity. Direct overall branch performance, motivate teams to achieve sales targets, optimize operational processes, and enhance customer satisfaction. Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue and market share. Motivate teams to manage a pipeline and engage in consultative conversations with customers to offer tailored solutions. Analyze branch performance data to drive strategic decisions, improve operational efficiency, and manage escalated customer problems with effective solutions. Recruit, hire, retain, and motivate branch colleagues across all job families. Manage branch scheduling and balance needs with employee availability. Utilize digital technologies and platforms to enhance customer interactions, educate on self‑service options, and drive business outcomes. Communicate clearly with customers in person, over the phone, or through digital channels. Ensure risk management and compliance, adhere to policies and regulatory requirements. May support nearby branches as needed. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent through experience, training, military service, or education. 3+ years demonstrated success in retail bank sales management or related bank operations/support function. 5+ years retail sales management or equivalent through experience, training, military service, or education. 12+ months demonstrated success in Santander role and endorsement from District Executive, District Operations Manager or Region President. 3+ years experience selling products/services in an incentive‑based environment. Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably as a Branch Manager. Strong relationship‑building, customer‑centric approach. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Excellent customer service skills and passion for helping others. Strong problem‑solving skills and proactive issue resolution. Experience coaching and developing team members. Excellent communication, consultative and influence skills, both verbal and written. Ability to educate customers on technology and digital tools. Data‑driven decision making to improve performance and operational outcomes. Knowledge of company policy, compliance, risk management, and loss prevention. Capable of working in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple priorities. Integrity and professionalism with customers and employees. Computer proficiency and basic math skills. Availability to work branch hours including weekends and evenings. Preferred Qualifications Preferred experience in Microsoft Office products.
