Full-stack Developer

Role Description

You are a Senior developer with strong full-stack experience, capable of owning features end-to-end — from Python back-end services to React-based user interfaces. You are comfortable working in a cloud-based SaaS environment, translating ambiguous product requirements into clear technical proposals, and communicating trade-offs with both engineering and non-technical stakeholders. You have a strong engineering mindset, care about code quality, testing, and maintainability, and are interested in developing deep domain knowledge in the oil, gas, and energy sector.

Your area of responsibility

• Owning full-stack features end-to-end, from scoping to deployment and monitoring;
• Developing backend services using Python;
• Building user-facing functionality with React and TypeScript;
• Designing and maintaining REST APIs with OpenAPI contracts;
• Working with structured datasets and supporting data analysis needs;
• Contributing to architecture decisions and improving system maintainability;
• Writing and maintaining backend and frontend tests;
• Reviewing code and supporting engineering quality standards;
• Communicating technical trade-offs to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience;
• Strong production experience with Python 3.12+;
• Hands-on experience with Flask and/or FastAPI;
• Experience with async/await, type annotations, and clean backend architecture;
• Production experience with React 18+ and TypeScript;
• Experience with state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query;
• Experience designing REST APIs with OpenAPI contracts;
• Experience working with structured datasets using pandas and/or numpy;
• Production experience with document databases such as MongoDB, Firestore, or similar;
• Experience with testing tools such as pytest, Vitest, or Jest;
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Docker Compose;
• Strong ownership, communication skills, and ability to work with ambiguous requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with MongoDB aggregation pipelines, Mongoose, or PyMongo;
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, or GCS;
• Exposure to LLM APIs or AI agent frameworks;
• Experience in energy, oil & gas, financial analytics, forecasting, or reporting platforms.
