Core Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye exams including routine vision checks, refractions, and contact lens fittings (including specialty scleral and hard lenses).
- Diagnose, treat, and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, and ocular emergencies.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and refractive surgery patients in collaboration with ophthalmologists.
- Deliver pediatric and specialty care including binocular vision evaluations and myopia management solutions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an ACOE-accredited school.
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee optometry license with therapeutic pharmaceutical certification.
- Strong diagnostic skills, excellent patient communication, and ability to manage multi-lane patient flow.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
