About the Position

Job Opportunity – Oncology Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Augusta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend required, 19-bed unit with average daily census of 15, self-scheduling, no call required, float within facility as needed

Highlights:

• Comprehensive oncology and hematology patient care from diagnosis through end-of-life care
• Epic EMR system (experience required), Pyxis medication management, SBAR communication
• Manage oncologic emergencies, chemo precautions, and advanced pain management including morphine/dilaudid drips, CADD pumps, and PCA pumps
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract, all RTO must be finalized at submission

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; previous oncology experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required if performing chemotherapy administration
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Demonstrated skills in accessing/managing ports, central line care, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, and neutropenic precautions
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance required to start on time; compliance documents due Tuesday prior to start date
