Job Opportunity – Oncology Registered Nurse – Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required. Patient ratio of 1:6 with an average daily census of 15 patients on a 19-bed unit. Floating within the facility system may be required (up to 3 miles). Holiday coverage required based on assignment period. Maximum 7 days of time off per contract (must be finalized at submission).

• Work with oncology patients across the care continuum, from diagnosis through end-of-life care, including hematology diagnoses and oncologic emergencies
• Epic EMR system required; facility also utilizes Pyxis and SBAR protocols
• Manage complex interventions including chemotherapy precautions, morphine and dilaudid drips, CADD pumps, and PCA pumps
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services
• RNs perform their own vital sign checks and blood glucose monitoring
• Orientation provided with non-billable hours proportional to contract length

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Active Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills required: accessing and managing ports, administration of blood products and chemotherapy, central line care, neutropenic precautions, and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy
• Full compliance documentation must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; all documents due Tuesday prior to start date
