With over 700 locations and exciting expansion ahead, now is the perfect time to join SiteOne and grow Stronger Together™!Position OverviewThe Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager in achieving excellence in all facets of branch operations including inventory management, team development, customer value, and overall financial performance and growth.What You'll Do:Create a positive environment for branch associates which encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.In partnership with the Branch Manager, onboard, train, and coach branch associates.Train and coach all branch associates in customer value best practices and facilitate a culture whereby every team member is obsessed with customer successPromote an incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily through leading by example.Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training and executing policies.Monitor key performance metrics to assess daily, weekly and monthly progress and to track improvement initiatives.Work with Branch Manager to review performance metrics to track progress.Partner with leadership and Field Support to understand the impact of emerging technologies and ways of working on business performance, and actively support their implementation.Skills We Are SeekingThis is a safety sensitive role and requires candidates to pass a preemployment drug test1 to 3 years of experience in retail nursery, irrigation and/or landscape industry preferred1 to 3 years of managerial experience including leadership, issue management, motivation and team building preferredDemonstrates exceptional customer service to all SiteOne customersResponds to and resolves more complex questions and issues, utilizing experience and greater knowledge of products and customer baseProactively identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to grow sales with current and potential customersUnderstanding of sales and operations planning processExcellent communication, customer service and leadership skillsReady and willing to learn and adopt, and encourage others to learn and adopt, new technologies and ways of workingWorking knowledge of accounting fundamentalsKnowledge of market preferences, competition, regulations and trendsHigher education degree preferredHigh School or secondary diploma or equivalent requiredCompensation & BenefitsSiteOne offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support the well-being of our associates.
