Description: The role requires the nurse to float to various facilities within the designated area. Nurses will provide care in fast-paced emergency room settings. Nurse-to-patient ratios will vary based on acuity levels. Daily patient volumes may range from 40 to 168, depending on the location. Required tasks include performing point-of-care lab testing. The nurse must be capable of reading and interpreting telemetry. Nurses are expected to assist with triage and patient assessments. Availability of respiratory therapy is ensured 24/7. Shifts are assigned 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Weekend and holiday coverage is required on an alternating basis. The position does not involve self-scheduling; flexibility is necessary. This is a floating role with diverse responsibilities across different facilities. Collaboration and effective communication with staff are essential for patient care. Successful candidates will demonstrate adaptability in various clinical environments. Nurses may encounter a mix of medical conditions including trauma, strokes, and abdominal pain.
