About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Evening, Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS NIHSS TNCC Must-Have: Experience in fast-paced emergency settings. Ability to float to various locations as needed. Description: Candidates must be willing to float throughout the designated zone. The role requires flexibility to work in multiple facilities. Shift schedules will be released 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Travelers should be ready to adapt to a just-in-time scheduling format. Daily patient volume may vary between 40 to 168 patients. Nurse-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:5, depending on patient acuity. Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension. Team support is available, including techs assisting with floor duties and triage. Respiratory therapists are present 24/7 for emergency respiratory needs. RNs are expected to read and interpret telemetry. Point of care lab testing will be performed by RNs after training. Self-scheduling is not permitted, as shifts are assigned based on department needs. Weekend and holiday shifts are required every other occurrence. This role involves no call or standby requirements. Scrub color/dress code is navy blue.
