Advanced Respiratory Therapist CRT/RRT

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing essential respiratory care services within the scope of physician orders. This role involves administering oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients. You will plan, implement, and evaluate therapy effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.

Education

Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required.

Experience

Minimum of two years of directly related experience in an acute care setting is necessary.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted state Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.

Requirements and Skills

Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills is essential. Ability to assess patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, and operate respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively is expected. Experience with pulmonary function testing, bronchopulmonary drainage, and monitoring physiological responses to therapy is important. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, leadership, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Work Environment

This position offers 0.9 FTE with 12-hour shifts, supporting a positive and efficient work atmosphere. The role includes participation in ongoing training, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.
