Legacy Golf Club - Assistant Golf Course Superintendent

Overview The assistants are expected to be actively involved in all aspects of the daily operation. The best opportunities are earned by those who consistently work hard, pay attention to the details, and take ownership of their responsibilities. The right candidate will work alongside the staff, lead by example, and gain experience in the daily decision-making. Our goal is to provide assistants with the experience, responsibility, and mentorship necessary to prepare them for the next step in their careers. Responsibilities Participate in all aspects of daily golf course operations, lead by example, and take ownership of responsibilities. Collaborate with staff and contribute to daily decision‑making. Seek opportunities to mentor and support team members to develop skills for progression. Qualifications Solid working knowledge of golf course turf maintenance (tees, greens, fairways), seeding and cultural practices. Experience with plant care, pruning, fertilization, soil conditioners, pest control and drainage solutions. Proficient with irrigation systems (wells, pumps, automatic controls) and equipment operation/calibration. Strong supervisory, scheduling and communication skills; ability to produce clear reports and maintain positive relationships with staff and the public. Valid driver’s license required. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed during peak growing seasons, tournaments, and special events. Must obtain state pesticide licensing within 180 days of employment.
