Trust & Safety Specialist

Working remotely on a 12-month contract basis, the Trust & Safety Escalations Specialist will review high-risk user activity, assess potential threats, and manage sensitive escalations involving law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) while adhering to nontraditional scheduling requirements. Key responsibilities Review user interactions and assess violent exchanges for potential policy violations Handle escalations and referrals to law enforcement and NCMEC, ensuring timely and accurate documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify emerging threats and user-risk patterns Required qualifications Professional experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or related fields Direct experience with NCMEC CyberTipline reporting or comparable mandatory-reporting workflows Experience reviewing graphic violence and credible threats of harm Ability to assess risk based on credibility, intent, and specificity Willingness to work a nontraditional schedule and participate in on-call coverage
