Personnel Security Specialist

Personnel Security Specialist Support staff and maintain security protocols for the U.S. Coast Guard. Responsibilities Process incoming and outgoing visitor access requests (VARs) Create and maintain strong client relationships Participate in annual self‑inspections Maintain personnel security records through ISMS Process foreign travel requests Process EQIP requests Conduct initial and annual refresher training Maintain document control Investigate and report security violations Issue courier cards and maintain accountability Maintain and update access lists for all facilities Interface with and upload documents to SECCEN Coordinate SCI indoctrinations for military personnel and contractors Conduct thorough SCI debriefings for personnel who have had access to SCI Ensure individuals understand their ongoing responsibility to protect classified information Review and explain non‑disclosure agreements Address questions or concerns about handling sensitive information post‑access Collect any remaining classified materials or access credentials Document completion of exit procedures Required Qualifications (TS) Top Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility BA/BS or equivalent years of experience 3+ years of relevant personnel security experience Firm understanding of security administrative processes and briefing of incoming/outgoing personnel Solid background in personnel security with EQIP/SF‑86 familiarity Contract security experience VAR processing experience Access list maintenance and DD‑254 preparation Familiarity with classified workspace/SCIF Ability to provide security briefings/refresher training on a weekly/monthly/annual basis Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Desired Qualifications DHS personnel security experience Former military experience Customer service experience Compensation Pay range: $68,400–$143,700.
