Marketing Specialist

About The Role Working under the direction of the Marketing Director, this position coordinates the implementation of campaigns and helps to operationalize marketing strategy. They work collaboratively to uphold the bank’s market position, identity, and long‑term vision to connect with prospective and existing customers through brand awareness, consistency, and loyalty. Additionally, they interface with other employees and departments to raise brand awareness for bank products and services as well as internal marketing and culture‑building efforts. Duties and Responsibilities Copywriting & Communication Strategy: Adhere to established brand strategy and voice to craft consistent messaging across all platforms. Website Content: Able to fluently work within the CMS to provide content updates, keeping website fresh, relevant, and searchable. Media Coordination: Working closely with Marketing Director and media partners, help develop monthly traffic scheduling, review media plans, and distribute all necessary media files. Negotiate media schedules when necessary and act as co‑contributor on annual media plan. Social Media & Digital Presence: Help create engaging social media content within the bank’s established social media platforms (Meta Suite) and paid digital placement as well as bolstering traditional and AI search positioning. Market & Consumer Research: Analyze competitive landscapes, market changes, and consumer behavior to help inform content strategy. Campaign Coordination: Implement messaging for enterprise‑wide marketing campaigns across platforms and help analyze performance. Contractor Collaboration: Work with contractors to communicate and deliver marketing deliverables. Copyediting & Proofreading: Review and provide edits across all departmental marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Internal Marketing: Assist in developing and executing internal campaigns focused on company culture as well as developing and providing copy editing and proofreading to internal communications. Essential Functions Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer’s personal and financial information. Develop and improve skills through training programs and regular feedback discussions with supervisors which help further professional development. Participate in all training sessions and complete all assigned OnCourse training courses and achieve a passing score by due date. Position performs other duties as needed/assigned. About You Qualifications Minimum five years in marketing, advertising, or agency settings, with a focus on brand development. Financial services experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Must possess current valid driver’s license. Knowledge, Skill, Ability Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Skills in areas related to computer operation/use including working knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new systems/applications. Strong collaboration skills, analytical thinking, creativity, copywriting, storytelling, and proficiency in research tools. Communicate Effectively: both verbally and in writing with others in a clear, thorough, and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. Demonstrate soft phone skills by treating all internal and external customers in a polite and courteous manner. Work Environment Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate‑controlled shared work area with moderate noise. Must be capable of occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation, and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must also be able to work outdoors and travel to business meetings and/or events sponsored by the bank. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6‑8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes. What We Offer Compensation & Benefits Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. We offer an extensive benefits package that includes, but is not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Coverage is available to employees and their eligible dependents in accordance with our written plan documents. You may also be eligible for a health savings account option, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a health rewards program, a retirement savings plan, including 401(k) and Profit‑Sharing plans, short and long‑term disability benefits, education and training benefits, and discounts on banking products and services. We also offer a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) plan and paid holidays. PTO accruals begin at .0745 per hour worked for our part time employees up to a maximum accrual of 240 hours per year for certain Full‑Time employees. PTO accruals are dependent on position, status (Full time or Part time), and years of experience in accordance with our PTO policy. Most Full‑Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro‑rated paid holidays.
