CNC Operator / Machinist

Description:
Geo-Flo Corporation, an Aalberts company, is seeking a skilled CNC Operator/Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Bedford, Indiana. This position is responsible for operating and setting up CNC equipment to produce high-quality components while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, performing inspections, troubleshooting machining issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes, mills, routers, and related equipment
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and offset adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring equipment
- Monitor product quality and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
- Assist with preventive maintenance activities on CNC equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous CNC machining experience required
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and tolerances
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HAAS CNC equipment
- Experience performing complete machine setups
- Understanding of G-code and CNC programming
- Experience with first article inspections
- Manufacturing experience in a low-volume, high-mix environment
