CT Technologist
Cherry Hill Free Clinic
The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging and ensuring a supportive patient experience. They perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, operate imaging equipment independently, and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Key duties include obtaining clinical histories, verifying patient identity, explaining procedures using AIDET, ensuring patient comfort and safety, administering contrast with proper technique, and positioning patients accurately. They review images for diagnostic acceptability, document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS, and respond to patient needs and emergencies. Additional responsibilities involve maintaining equipment, ensuring infection control, supporting department workflow, and adhering to regulatory standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least one year of radiology experience, and certifications in ARRT (Radiography and CT) and BLS.
