Job Description

Our client, a Hybrid Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to join their team.

To give you a sense of scale, there are 20 employees and annual revenue is currently $10M. The firm grows organically, adding $150M+ in new AUM annually and about 40% of revenue comes via the broker-dealer, the rest is fee-based.

\n

The CGO role is designed around accountability and taking the pressure off of the Founder/CEO. The CGO will have direct leadership responsibilities for the Financial Advisory and Client Service teams.

Required Experience:

\n

\n
• Experience working directly with and management of Financial Advisor teams
\n
• Bachelor's degree
\n
• 8+ years of management experience in wealth management with a keen focus on staff management and driving revenue growth
\n
• Deep understanding of financial services industry as it relates to Independent Financial Advisors and RIAs
\n
• Demonstrated excellence in optimizing sales and servicing processes
\n
• Solid understanding of investment and financial planning management concepts
\n
• Up-to-date on SEC and FINRA compliance
\n
• Team building. In some ways, the CGO will function as a Chief of Staff, so experience growing teams across silos is highly needed.
\n
• High level understanding of standard wealth management tech stack: Wealth Box CRM, Fidelity platform, Orion, & EMoney
\n
• Familiarity with EOS or Scaling Up operational methodologies
\n

Responsibilities: (in part)

\n

\n
• Oversight and management of the transition and onboarding process of new Financial Advisors to the wealth management firm
\n
• Report to the CEO with indirect oversight of operations, compliance, marketing and technology staff
\n
• Supervise and train new sales and/or client service team members, which includes conducting performance appraisals and disciplinary meetings as needed
\n
• Set the tone: ensure they are who they say they are - set the company up for growth and drive efficiencies across channels
\n
• Be the QB for outsourced services such as portfolio management, insurance carriers, trading, and consulting.
\n
• Drive process improvements across the organization

Compensation: $175,000 - $220,000 base salary + KPI driven variable compensation with target of an additional $50,000 - $70,000 annually.
