Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1+ year of Stepdown experience required License: Michigan nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Proficiency in Cardiac required Comfortable with EKG required Willingness to float to similar units required Description: The Registered Nurse uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The RN is a critical member of the unit that cares for a high volume of cardiology patients annually. Procedures include PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. The unit also specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies. The facility has received several awards recognizing exceptional patient care and optimal outcomes. Leadership and medical staff demonstrate top performance in care, efficiency, and community value. A strict attendance policy is implemented to advocate for patient population needs. Any RN contractor absent from a scheduled shift or more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately. Exemptions apply for communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence. A skills checklist completed within the year prior to application for RN specialties is required. Physical copies of certifications are required if listed above.
