Job Description As an Armed Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Kansas City, MO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.33 / Hour Job Schedule: Day/Time Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report security-related concerns. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and support a professional presence while assigned to an armed post. Assist with de-escalation efforts, provide directions and information to visitors, and report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations according to post orders. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience. Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Meet hospital vaccine requirements. Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
