Registered Nurse RN

Registered NurseThe Registered Nurse will work in a Progressive Care Unit. Candidates must have experience in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips. Experience with postoperative care for cardiac and vascular patients is essential. Nurses will provide care for patients with general medical diagnoses and cardiac conditions. Responsibilities include the administration of chemotherapy. The RN will manage BiPAP/CPAP and blood products. Candidates should be able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips and other telemetry duties. Management of chest tubes and feeding tubes, as well as heparin protocols, is required. Candidates should be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs and managing surgical drains. The RN will participate in use of rapid response and code teams when necessary. Weekend coverage is required, working every other weekend. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and social services. The unit provides some oncology services, including inpatient chemotherapy. Candidates should possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. This position requires adherence to isolation precautions and PPE usage. Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are essential for success in this role.
