Semiconductor Material Science Expert (AI Training) About the Role What if your deep expertise in semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons about the physical world? We're looking for Material Science specialists - Masters and PhDs - to work alongside leading AI research teams, helping build AI models that genuinely understand advanced scientific concepts. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for experts who want to do meaningful, intellectually engaging work on their own schedule. No prior AI experience required - your domain knowledge is what matters.

- Develop, solve, and review advanced material science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related areas to design complex, rigorous problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve AI reasoning in your field
- Ensure scientific rigor and precision across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments - fully on your own schedule
- Master's or PhD in Material Science or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or equivalent specialization
- Proficient in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Background in computational materials science, thin films, photovoltaics, or device physics
- Experience communicating complex scientific concepts in writing for non-specialist audiences
- Familiarity with AI tools or evaluation platforms as an end user
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside the world's leading AI research labs
- Fully remote and flexible - work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-level work
