# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Southeast Texas**Start Date:** October 26, 2026 **Location:** Humble, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day shift (1:6 charge ratio, 6 RNs, 2 PCTs) or Night shift (1:6 charge ratio, 6 RNs, 2 PCTs); Maximum patient ratio 5:1; Rotating weekends**Highlights:** - 24-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in medical trauma patients- Meditech Expanse electronic medical record system- Collaborative team environment with designated charge nurse support on every shift- Opportunity to perform specialized procedures including thoracentesis, chest tube management, and post-cardiac catheterization care- Standard PCU equipment and technology- 13-week contract assignment**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility- BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)- Minimum 1 year of IMU/PCU experience (required)- Charge nurse experience (preferred)- Meditech Expanse experience (preferred)- Ability to float to adult units as needed- Professional appearance with adherence to facility dress code**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This PCU role offers the chance to provide high-quality care to medical trauma patients in a supportive, team-focused environment.
