Job Title Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community – Lexington, KY Location Primary Location: Field – United States Primary Job Posting Location: Lexington, KY Position Summary The Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) is a field‑based role focused on engaging health‑care providers (HCPs) to drive adoption of BMS cardiovascular medicines, prioritize safe and appropriate product use, and achieve business results. The TAS builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community‑based physicians, maintains scientific expertise, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to deliver a differentiated customer experience. Key Responsibilities Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner. Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating a balanced clinical and scientific rationale. Maintain and grow scientific expertise on all assigned products and therapeutic areas. Prepare and execute comprehensive territory and account plans using tools such as SOPHIA for insights and dynamic call planning. Provide feedback on tool experiences to leadership for continuous improvement. Demonstrate scientific expertise using approved resources and publications to ensure medical accuracy. Conduct in‑office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product‑related scientific information consistent with label. Organize external speaker programs and manage logistics with the Speakers Bureau. Engage real‑time medical support through Medical on Call to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries. Collaborate proactively with other field teams to ensure optimal customer experience. Gather and share relevant insights internally to improve BMS customer service. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BMS policies. Required Qualifications & Experience Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing. Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to physicians. Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers and stakeholders through a customer‑centric mindset. Experience in cardiovascular preferred. Strong account management, selling competencies, and a proven sales performance track record. Effective cross‑functional collaboration with a positive team mindset. Compensation Overview Field – United States: US $124,090 – $150,370 base salary. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility.
