Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse

Location: New Bern, NC 28560. Position Type: Full Time. Shift: Any. Responsibilities Record a patient’s medical history accurately Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc. Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side‑effects of medications, etc. Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing, etc. Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks Collect samples for lab testing as assigned Provide emotional and psychological support when needed Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short‑term and long‑term disability 401(k) with company matching program Performance‑based bonusPaid leave and holidays Employer‑paid conferences and training Healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts Background check and pre‑employment drug screen required. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or Registered Nurse Program. Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN, or RN license in the state of practice. Knowledge of long‑term care regulations, resident rights, and skilled nursing facility standards. Experience providing direct patient care to geriatric and long‑term care populations. Ability to administer medications, treatments, and physician‑ordered therapies safely and accurately. Skilled in monitoring residents' conditions and reporting changes to the interdisciplinary care team. Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical documentation. Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices. Strong assessment, communication, and critical‑thinking skills. Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in accordance with state regulations. Ability to work effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
