Position Overview: Are you outgoing and customer-focused? Do you enjoy working with the public? If you answered yes to these questions, working for a State Farm independent contractor agent may be the career for you! State Farm agents market only State Farm insurance and financial service products. Responsibilities include establishing customer relationships and following up with customers, as needed. Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options. Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.

Requirements: Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs. Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and listening. People-oriented. Detail oriented. Proactive in problem solving. Able to learn computer functions. Ability to work in a team environment.

About Our Agency

We help customers with their insurance and financial services needs, including auto insurance, home insurance, life insurance, retirement planning, business insurance, health insurance, and renters insurance. Our office is located in Staten Island, NY. I have been a State Farm agent since 2008. I am a proud graduate of Georgetown University. We currently have 8 team members at our agency. Our agency has received awards including: President's Club, Chairman's Circle, Ambassador Travel, Legion of Honor, and Senior Vice President's Club. Additional languages spoken: Spanish.
