Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for delivering precise radiation therapy treatments to patients, operating treatment units, and ensuring accurate simulation and imaging procedures. The role also involves training staff, maintaining treatment documentation, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Operate treatment units for radiation therapy delivery with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  
  
• 
  Perform CT simulation, construct immobilization devices, and utilize IV contrast and respiratory gating techniques as required.
  
  
• 
  Lead training for therapists in CT/Simulation procedures, including AcQ simulation, SBRT, and QA processes.
  
  
• 
  Maintain and verify all treatment management data in MOSAIQ, including schedules, prescriptions, and imaging records.
  
  
• 
  Follow departmental policies, safety standards, and radiation protection principles; report equipment malfunctions promptly.
  
  
• 
  Safely operate CT on rails for IGRT, accurately perform IGRT assessments, and create electronic documentation in MOSAIQ.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  
  
• 
  ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy.
  
  
• 
  Proven experience in CT simulation, IGRT, SBRT, and treatment delivery.
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of treatment planning, QA procedures, and equipment operation.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and staff training.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures in a radiation therapy setting.
