About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in MS/Tele License: RN license required Certifications: BLS required - AHA only Must-Have: - Telemetry test required prior to start - Ability to manage orthopedic trauma patients Description: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts, 1900 - 0730. Weekend rotation required (1 in 3) and holidays as needed. Willing to consider 4x12 schedules if traveler is interested. Primary patient population includes orthopedic trauma patients. Previous charge experience preferred. Telemetry certification is mandatory with strict passing criteria. The telemetry exam must be passed prior to starting. Patient ratio is 4:1. Travelers are required to float as needed. Current patient diagnoses include hip and knee replacements, and neurosurgery overflow. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Special procedures include heparin and insulin drips, peripheral nerve catheters, and PCA management. Travelers must comply with all requirements to ensure patient safety and quality care. This facility is recognized as a leading hospital and teaching institution.
