RN - Hospice

Registered Nurse - Home Health/Hospice

Location: Rowan/Salisbury Region

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM)

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients with six months or less to live, primarily in a home health and hospice setting. Responsibilities include medication administration, pain management, and symptom assessment to ensure quality end-of-life care. The RN will be required to work on-call rotations during weekends and weekdays as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and document comprehensive patient assessments.
• Administer medications and manage pain using pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care needs and end-of-life issues.
• Perform symptom management to ensure patient comfort.
• Participate in on-call duties on scheduled weekends and selected weekdays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in home health, hospice, or skilled nursing settings.
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license acceptable).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
