Sales Support Specialist

Position Overview The Sales Support Specialist serves as a key point of contact for customers and the outside sales team. This role is responsible for handling quotes, order entry, delivery updates, technical product support, and customer inquiries while ensuring a high level of service and accuracy throughout the sales process.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Process customer requests including quotes, orders, order follow-up, and delivery information.
* Accurately enter and maintain customer orders within the ERP system.
* Provide customer service and technical product information to customers.
* Coordinate with fulfillment teams and communicate expected delivery dates.
* Explain stock availability and shipping updates to customers.
* Support outside sales representatives with daily activities and customer needs.
* Meet established order entry and performance goals.
* Maintain detailed documentation and records to ensure continuity of service.
* Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues efficiently.
* Communicate concerns, trends, and customer issues to management in a timely manner.
* Contribute to continuous process improvements and departmental objectives.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing sales support or manufacturing customer service experience.
* Experience managing product information and supporting customers with technical product knowledge.
* Order entry experience within an ERP system.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with QAD software.
* Previous experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or technical product lines.
* Background working with engineering, automation, or industrial customers.

*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
