Civil Construction Project Manager

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionYoungblood Excavating and Contracting is seeking an experiencedCivil Construction Project Managerto oversee heavy civil and site development projects from preconstruction through completion. The right candidate will be a results-driven leader with experience managing project schedules, budgets, field operations, and client relationships.Youngblood Excavating & Contracting self-performs the majority of their work. The ideal candidate has a strong background incivil construction, site development, underground utilities, concrete, bridge and earthwork projects, along with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.Key Responsibilities:Project ManagementOwn and manage project cost, schedule, scope, and expectations for assigned projects.Lead project kickoff meetings, subcontract negotiations, and procurement efforts.Manage:RFIs (Requests for Information)SubmittalsChange OrdersProgress BillingsMonitor project costs, productivity, and cash flow while implementing recovery plans when necessary.Develop and execute project schedules to ensure timely completion.Coordinate project closeout activities and documentation.Field Operations & CoordinationConduct on-site visits to oversee:Project layoutMaterial schedulingEquipment and tool requirementsConstruction progressCoordinate field installations and project closeouts.Resolve construction challenges and support field teams throughout project execution.Collaborate closely with company leadership and field operations teams.Client & Stakeholder ManagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with:OwnersOwner representativesArchitectsEngineersTrade contractorsVendorsParticipate in project meetings and industry-related activities.Serve as the primary point of communication for project-related matters.Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all work complies with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory guidelines.Maintain project quality, safety, and documentation requirements.Coordinate QA/QC activities and ensure proper project closeout procedures are followed.Qualifications/EducationBachelor's Degree in Construction Management preferred.Equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.ExperienceProven experience managing civil construction projects, including:Site developmentEarthwork and gradingUnderground utilitiesPre-engineered Metal Building ErectionConcrete workBridge workCommercial or industrial infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of project financials, scheduling, and contract administration.Technical SkillsProject budgeting and cost controlConstruction scheduling and planningChange order managementContract administrationConstruction documentation and reportingMicrosoft Office Suite and construction management software proficiencyProfessional SkillsStrong leadership and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized with exceptional time management abilitiesStrong problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsTechnology and computer proficiency requiredWhat We're Looking ForAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Strong sense of ownership and accountability.Proven ability to lead teams and drive project success.Client-focused mindset with excellent relationship management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.Preferred BackgroundExperience managing projects such as:Commercial Site DevelopmentIndustrial Site DevelopmentMunicipal InfrastructureUnderground Utility ConstructionHeavy Civil ConstructionPublic and Private Development ProjectsPre-engineered Metal Building ErectionIndustrial ConcreteBridges (E2)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Salary: $95,000 - $150,000 per year (DOE)Simple IRASimple IRA Company MatchHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceVoluntary Life InsuranceAFLACPaid Time OffLong-Term Career Growth OpportunitiesYoungblood Excavating & Contracting is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
