Job Description

Job Title: Ultrasound Tech - Radiology

City/State: Chillicothe, Ohio

Shift: 5x8s either 7a-330p or 730a-4p. Weekends: 12-hour shifts 7a-7p; weekday shifts before/after: 7-hour shifts.

Contract Length: 5 weeks

Start Date: 07/06/2026

Job Description:

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.

Responsibilities:

Operate ultrasound equipment and select appropriate transducers, settings, and techniques to ensure optimal image quality.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam, taking a relevant medical history, and positioning them correctly.
Recognize and document normal and abnormal sonographic findings.
Collaborate with radiologists and physicians by providing preliminary impressions and ensuring timely delivery of images and reports.
Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details and technical data.
Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and radiation safety protocols.
Participate in quality assurance programs and continuing education as required.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Utilize effective communication to ensure customer identification, education, safety, and satisfaction.
Communication and documentation of all variations from protocol.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience.
Must have one of the following: ARDMS (AB) or ARDMS (OB).
Will only be performing general ultrasound exams; vascular tech not required.
Must reside outside a 60 mile radius.
