Description
The Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst is responsible for designing and executing of test cases, documents results, and manages defects to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role also supports and mentors QA team members while contributing to overall testing strategy and process improvement.
- Develop and execute test scenarios and detailed test scripts to validate complex business workflows from user stories
- Perform functional testing of web applications, including business rules, validations, and integrations
- Own and manage the defect lifecycle, including tracking and updates in JIRA
- Participate across the full QA lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test planning, execution, and reporting
- Apply risk-based testing to prioritize test coverage and execution
- Create test plans and estimates aligned with project timelines
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities
- Identify and mitigate testing and project risks, escalating issues as needed
- Contribute to process improvements and QA best practices, including supporting training initiatives
- Review and refine QA standards to ensure quality and consistency
- Analyze complex issues and recommend effective solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years in QA or related field
- Strong expertise in QA methodologies, best practices, and full software development lifecycle
- Proven ability to lead QA efforts and work independently with minimal oversight
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and familiarity with Postman or API testing tools
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including leading in-person demos of bugs and new features
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and engage across all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities
