Senior Consultant, Financial Services

Responsibilities As a Senior Consultant in Guidehouse’s Commercial Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in delivering client engagements by analyzing problems, developing solutions, and supporting implementation efforts. Support delivery of client engagements by executing discrete workstreams and producing high-quality, timely analyses and deliverables. Conduct research, data analysis, and process assessments (e.g., process mapping, control evaluation) to inform client recommendations. Develop clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and client-ready materials. Participate in client meetings, including working sessions and status updates, contributing insights and progress updates. Collaborate with team and engagement leadership to track deliverables, timelines, and risks. Support implementation of recommended solutions and operational improvements. Build foundational client relationships through consistent, professional engagement. Requirements Bachelor’s degree. 3–5 years of experience in the banking industry or commercial financial services consulting. Experience supporting projects in one or more of the following areas: Operational risk and/or large bank compliance, Banking regulations and compliance, Risk and controls assessments, including process mapping. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience developing client-ready deliverables. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (incl Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to manage workstreams and meet deadlines. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within and across teams.
