Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivilant
Valid NJ Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in good standing, Class B

Work Hours: As Assigned Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, transfer, move, assist participants (minimum of 40 pounds).
Ability to maneuver and tie down wheelchairs.
May be required to provide direct support services inside a CPL facility or as assigned in a community setting.

Overall Description:

To safely transport all Participants, as assigned, in accordance with all CPL policies and DMV regulations.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and safeguard each family/participant's right to privacy, respect and confidentiality.
Ensure vehicle is in safe running order at all times.
Comply with all protocols as stated in the CPL Transportation Handbook.
Ensure safe pickup and drop-off of each participant.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians.
Accurately maintain mileage logs of the assigned vehicle.
Oversee the Driver Assistant to the assure safety and proper care of all assigned participants.
Assist participants in program areas as directed.
