Transmission Technician Opportunity SummaryAs a Transmission Technician, you are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services while making customer repair recommendations. This position will work with other technicians to ensure all work scheduled is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.Job DutiesPerform quality repairs and maintenance on Transmissions/Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed proceduresAccurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) promptly.Diagnose failure of vehicles by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.Create a job repair plan based on the diagnosis.Work Experience & Qualifications3+ Years of transmission repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/ fleet dealership or shop environment.Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel enginesComputer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.Employee Rewards and Benefits8 Paid Holidays & 1 Paid Wellness DayPaid time offEmployee Referral Bonus ProgramMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401k with a Company MatchCompany Paid TrainingGrowth and Leadership OpportunitiesAbout the CompanyW.W.
