Perioperative Scheduler

Responsible for accurate, complete conflict-free computerized scheduling for Perioperative Services- including GI, Inpatient Operating Rooms/ PACU, Outpatient Operating Rooms/ PACU, and non-OR Procedural areas. Manages the Surgery schedule to best utilize the surgical suites and equipment. Professionally interfaces over the phone and in person with physicians, vendors, outside offices, HMNH staff and leadership in Inpatient and Outpatient settings. Reconciles charges generated within Perioperative Services. Assists with data collection and patient chart preparation for Perioperative Services.

Licensure and Certification:

• N/A

Education:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred

Experience:

• Prior surgery scheduling experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of surgery scheduling
• Knowledge in computer use and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of complex medical terminology.
• Analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
