Equipment Engineer II (On-Site)

Location: Billerica, MA
Duration: 6-Month Contract with the potential to extend or convert at any time.
Pay Rate: $37–$47/hour

Are you a hands-on engineer who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, improving manufacturing performance, and bringing mechanical designs to life? This is an exciting opportunity to apply your engineering expertise in a medical device manufacturing environment supporting Sphere-9 Catheter Manufacturing .

As an Equipment Engineer II, you'll help ensure manufacturing equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently while contributing to equipment improvements and process optimization.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate, select, and support manufacturing equipment to improve performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee equipment installation, modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and develop solutions to improve uptime and reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, equipment records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, repair, and process engineering teams to support production needs.
• Identify opportunities to enhance equipment performance, safety, and manufacturing efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Approximately 1–4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with electromechanical fixtures and equipment.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Mechanical design experience and familiarity with CAD tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and work independently on engineering assignments.
