Financial Controller

Role Description The Financial Controller role at Gecko Hospitality (Corporate) is a full-time, on-site position based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger management, month‑end and year‑end close processes, and preparation of accurate financial statements and reports. This role includes monitoring budgets, cash flow, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, and coordinating audits with external partners. The Financial Controller will analyze financial performance, provide insights to leadership, support strategic decision‑making, and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams and mentoring of finance and accounting staff are key components of the day‑to‑day responsibilities. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including Accounting and Finance knowledge. Candidates should possess expertise in financial documentation, including Financial Statements and Financial Reporting. Candidates should possess solid analytical capabilities, including Analytical Skills for interpreting data and supporting decisions. Relevant experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls in a corporate or hospitality environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are preferred. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial analysis tools.
