Job Description

This role focuses on operating molding and assembly line equipment to produce plastic automotive parts. You assemble components, inspect finished products, and support overall production by sorting, packaging, and stocking materials in a clean, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding machines and production equipment to manufacture plastic automotive parts according to specifications.
• Assemble plastic automotive components on the production and assembly lines with attention to detail and quality.
• Inspect parts and finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Sort products and materials based on type, quality, or production stage to support efficient workflow.
• Package parts and finished goods securely and accurately for storage or shipment.
• Stock materials, components, and finished products in designated areas to maintain organized inventory levels.
• Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and correctly during assembly, packaging, and production tasks.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with coworkers in small work cells to meet production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to a safe and efficient production environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general production, manufacturing, or similar hands-on work environments.
• Ability to operate molding machines and general production equipment safely and effectively.
• Assembly experience, particularly with plastic or automotive parts.
• Proficiency in inspecting products for quality, defects, and conformance to standards.
• Capability to sort, package, and stock materials in a structured and efficient manner.
• Comfort working with hand tools and basic production tools.
• Willingness and ability to work traditional 8-hour shifts, including up to 6 days per week as needed.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work in warm conditions, especially during summer months.
• Reliability and punctuality for consistent shift-based work.

Work Environment

The facility is a clean production environment organized into small work cells where you work closely with a few other team members. Operations run on traditional 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and third shift from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Shifts may run up to 6 days per week for a total of up to 48 hours. The work involves standing, operating molding and production machinery, using hand tools, and performing assembly, inspection, sorting, packaging, and stocking tasks. The environment can be hot during the summer months. Steel-toe boots or shoes are required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morehead, KY.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Morehead,KY.
