Special Procedure Technologist (Radiologic Technologist), Cardiac Catheter Lab

Role Overview The Special Procedures Technologist performs complex radiology angiographic and interventional procedures in a high-standard, autonomous manner, adhering to medical, legal, and imaging protocols. They ensure precise patient positioning, operate advanced diagnostic equipment, assist physicians during procedures, and maintain equipment functionality. Collaboration with medical staff and meticulous documentation using PACS and ICVS systems are essential. The role demands attention to detail, clinical judgment, and adaptability under pressure. Key Responsibilities Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and ensure safety during contrast media administration Operate fluoroscopy, diagnostic tools, and computers for accurate imaging Assist physicians with angiographic and interventional procedures, including instrument handling Set up sterile trays, maintain aseptic techniques, and manage equipment calibration and troubleshooting Monitor patient condition, interpret equipment readings, and communicate findings promptly Accurately document images and retrieve historical data as needed Follow procedural protocols and collaborate effectively within invasive environments Demonstrate initiative, multitask efficiently, and work under time-sensitive conditions Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or CVT program Active NJ Certified X-Ray Technologist license, ARRT registration, BLS, and ACLS certifications Preferred: RCIS certification, EKG certification, and experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and team collaboration abilities Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical setting #J-18808-Ljbffr Personal Touch Home Health Care Services Inc.
